In ancient cultures the doorways to purpose were found through calendars at ancient sites and temples that aligned with the sun on the Solstices and Equinoxes. Through the sun’s light, a path is penetrated on these special days where the veil is thin and the electro-magnetic field of the earth allows the energy of the sunrays in. Aries – The year begins with your ruling planet Mars retrograde in Cancer, limiting the flow of energy. The fiery power that comes your way fluctuates in small bursts. When there’s a slowdown use those moments for introspection, and clarity. Past situations of your early experiences are revisited and family dynamics comes into play. As the Sun goes into Capricorn on the 1st day of the Solstice, we tend to be goal-oriented, hardworking and serious. Our efforts are supported by being practical, disciplined and responsible. As we move through the month rely on the symbol of the sea goat for its perseverance, steady progress and reliance of being our own best authority. Neptune squares the sun, which results in misunderstandings and confusion with a lack of clarity. There may be disillusionment about what we once believed and accepted as truth, is now false.
The wildcard in this solstice chart is a mutable grand cross with the moon in Virgo opposite Saturn in Pisces, expressed as the feminine seeking deep healing while resisting being ruled by men in authority. Male dominance will be eroded and broken down this year. Expanding expressive yin energy of females coming to the forefront. Jupiter in Gemini squares Mercury in Sag, reflecting a process of aligning with information and being flexible, as the truths are revealed. We are being asked to adjust with outdated viewpoints and understand the universal principles while discerning facts from fiction which serves the greater good.
